Last week Ravalli County of Montana rejected almost $50,000 in federal funds covering health screenings, contraception, and counseling for low-income women. But why would they do such a thing you ask? According to the Missoulian there was controversy over providing services to minors without parental notification. This decision was made by the County Commission, but will be re-evaluated by the Board of Health tomorrow.
As we await a verdict I am curious what you guys think. Does the county have a right to be worried about providing services to minors without parental notification? Is this something you see happening in Kansas?
