Police Officer Charged With Voluntary Manslaughter After Shooting, Killing Unarmed Man CHARLOTTE, N.C.



The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department signed a warrant for the arrest of their fellow police officer Randall Kerrick who is charged with voluntary manslaughter after he shot and killed unarmed 24-year-old Jonathan Ferrell. He was arraigned this morning. And this all started on Saturday when dead victim Jonathan Ferrell was seeking help after being in a car wreck.

Ferrel was in some type of car accident when he escaped from his car and attempted to find help. He found a nearby house and began to knock and bang on the door, but the woman who answered the door was scared because she did not know who he was and she proceeded to call the cops. Ferrell was running towards the cops when one of the officers tased him (and because he didn’t go down) the other officer allegedly shot him dead.
